Biography


Vedat Xhymshiti; or otherwise known as Vudi, (born April 7, 1986 in Gjilan, eastern Kosovo) is independent Journalist, Long Term Documentary Photographer. In November 2011, he obtained his specialization degree in FYR-Macedonia, in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy.



Vudi is specialized in covering events and milestones of political and social nature around Southeast Europe and Middle East. He is the CEO and founder of ‘FF - Frontline Freelancers’ as well as the BMG – Balkan Media Group, both of which are startups and need some seed investment.



His work has been published in several publications including the U.S. TIME magazine, Der SPIEGEL, The New York Times, Swiss 'Sunday TIMES' magazine, Foreign Policy Journal, Foreign Policy Magazine, Die Presse, Die Welt, The Guardian, The SUN, The Daily Telegraph and Bloomberg ect. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as assignment photographer for US-Polaris Images, US-Zuma Press, US-SIPA Press, CORBIS Images and Demotix.com.



Recently he covered the Syrian civil war for EPA and AFP. As filmmaker for AP News Television, Vudi recorded the frontlines battles between the Syrian government forces and the rebel forces in the northern Syrian restive city of Aleppo.

Vudi has excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to plan and organize his own work while coordinating departmental activities/projects, with strong interpersonal skills & able to function in a team environment. He can interact effectively with all personnel. Once given the opportunity, Vudi has the amazing ability to work independently and handle pressure and stress with a smile. He is extremely creative
